Running head : Personal Statement Personal Statement Client 's Name University Affiliation Personal Statement Architecture is my destiny . My childhood , academic and work experiences , and exposure to various countries all strengthen my belief that I was meant to learn and breathe architecture Since my childhood , I was always considered the creative one in the family . As a child , I devoted much of my time to building and pushing my Lego blocks to their limits . I was never the kind who would be limited by instructions and models provided by my

Lego booklets , and I strived to build the elaborate castles I designed in my mind
Aside from my aspirations as a builder , the fact that I grew up in Thailand allowed me to have early exposure to Thai architecture . I looked in awe at every surface of the temple , where no space was left undecorated . The place was at once intricate , delicate , and serene . I have always felt that my destiny revolves around my indulging in my artistic passions by specializing in a design related field like architecture . However , still being in my youth , I allowed myself to explore other possibilities , and I went to a liberal arts college for a year . There , I also explored my interest in economics . Further enriching my experience and worldview is my yearlong study in France , wherein I spent seven months in Aix en Provence and two months in Paris
My studies landed me an undergraduate degree in Economic and Finance with a minor in French , which helped me attain work experience in various institutions abroad , such as New England Financial in Boston Bangkok Bank in Bangkok , and Morgan Stanley in Singapore . I also spent my time in London , where I 've had the pleasure of experiencing architecture through my participation in seminars and lectures relating to product design and Architecture . Well renowned firms and individuals in the field of architecture inspired me...
