`Animal Farm` by Geoge Orwell

Animal Farm ' by George Orwell 2005

The literary style of G . Orwell has been often criticized and praised at the same time for use of symbolism , parallels and other literary elements , which sometimes complicates the meaning of the story and leave room for the endless guessing over the story 's initial meaning . Animal Farm ' is not considered a notable exception of Orwell 's tendency . The author tells the story of the Manor Farm in South England , and from the critical point of view , the setting is changing in parallel with the

changes occurring in the name of the farm . However , the intention of Orwell is not to illustrate animal farm , but to portray the utopian society as it pursues ultimate equality depicted in the book through the dreams of Old Major . As this prize-winning pig dies , a revolution occurs in Animal Farm and this small society experiences some important changes . During the beginning of the novel , all the animals are equal and happy , but once the pigs gain the rules : All animals are equal , but some animals are more equal than others (Orwell , 90 . The situation is hypocritical due to the sudden change of the animal 's views . While the pigs are living the simple life of relaxation , the other animals are doing slave labor to ensure that humans do not regain control of Animal Farm and ensuring that they do not lose control of their own lives . From the author 's standpoint , this situation is a reflection on Russian Revolution portrayed in symbols and specific setting . Like Russian revolutionists and corrupted leaders Napoleon uses dogs to chase and kill Snowball on the day of a vote . At the Animal Farm the rules and morals are constantly changing , Napoleon and his other fellow pigs are dressing as humans and walking on two legs instead of four , because four legs good , two legs better (Orwell 89 , and as Snowball dies , no one dares to challenge Napoleon 's domination . Animal Farm slowly and inevitably degenerates to its destruction

Orwell 's Animal Farm ' is an example of hard-to-understand literature , because in this book , the author portrays various issues - utopian revolution and communism , utopia and anti-utopia , society and hypocrisy . During one of the first meetings after the rebellion , the animals make the rules clear and state that they will apply it to every animal on the farm : No animal must ever live in a house , or sleep in a bed , or wear clothes , or drink alcohol , or smoke tobacco , or touch money , or engage in trade (Orwell , 6 . Despite the rules agreed upon by the animals at the starting of the novel , the pigs decide to become more like the humans and gain complete control over Animal Farm . Things at first seem pretty reasonable , like the learning to read and write , but when the pigs begin wearing clothes and compromising with the neighboring farm owners , the animals become suspicious of their motives At the end , the animals spot the pigs sitting inside the house...
