Angels and Demons by Dan Brown
Angels and Demons by Dan Brown For this , I have chosen to write about the character of Janus Camerlengo Carlo Ventresca . The Camerlengo is the major person in the book and he is indeed the one who fights to get religion back in people 's hearts . His antiques towards the end of the book are compelling and very interesting . He is obviously a very intelligent man because he boards that helicopter with Robert - to think of that idea of getting into the helicopter and then coming down later with a parachute was

simply exceptional - especially when we consider the impact that it had on the people
The Camerlengo gets into the picture because he is a loyal servant of the Pope and the church . However , as Janus he is even more compelling and chilling . To put the plot in perspective , Janus owed his love for God to the Pope , the Pope made him love God and told him many stories as a child . The Pope brought him up in a way that he began to love God and promised to dedicate his whole life to God
During the course of one of his private talks with the Pope , the Pope told him that he had a child . Camerlengo Carlo couldn 't bear to hear that . In fact his whole world crumbled because the man whom he considered as his father and God had broken the vow for celibacy (although the Pope didn 't say he broke the vow . The Camerlengo was broken , hurt and tattered . His world had seemed to come to an end , he had nobody to talk to about such a thing and it killed him internally He decided to kill the Pope . But his decision to kill the Pope was only to ensure that God prevailed and that the people love God , he wanted to be Gods ' servant and he wanted God to guide the way of life for everyone . His intelligence was beyond par and so he came up with a well planned way of killing the Pope and becoming the Pope himself
He hired a man to kill a few people . He concocted a story about the Illuminati and convinced the killer that he would be working for the Illuminati . The Illuminati were a group feared for their violent actions and especially the way they killed . The killer felt that he was the right choice as he killed with disdain and fervor that was not known in the modern era . Janus was able to make him feel that he was on a mission of God and that his actions would not only be forgiven but also lead him to heaven
The killer was so captured with the thought of working for God and the most powerful group that lived hundreds of years ago , that his skill and power seemed to increase with every step and every moment . He felt powerful and his body and mind were extremely focused on the work of God
