The Fear of Crime and Punishment Among many religions in the world , the Vedic religion is one that is best known for teaching its followers (Aryans ) about karma , the belief that people are reborn to another life , thus whatever one does will have an effect in the future life . This belief in karma is reflected in the Rig Veda , a collection of hymns to the Vedic gods .
