This is because , the principles that the founders laid down have been applied and continue to be used by the American people , in addition to other people from other nations of the world . The principles or the ideals developed by the founders designed the American politics , where the principles were supposed to

apply to all people without looking at their race , tradition or culture . Some of the America 's Founding fathers include , Thomas Jefferson John Adams , Benjamin Franklin , James Madison , Patrick Henry , Thomas Paine and George Washington . These leaders were very instrumental in signing the America 's Declaration of Independence , as well as in participating in the American Revolution

The Founding fathers proposed democratic principles and practices that would make America a success . However , the founding fathers have been viewed as people who in some cases went against the democratic ideals they themselves had proposed . Some of the terms that have been used to describe them include , racists , sexist ' and `capitalist old men The founding fathers who greatly contributed to the America 's politics displayed contradicting positions on the same principles they proposed Though they are acknowledged for developing the democratic ideals that acted as the guideline for the America 's system of governance and eventually its success , they were engaged in political practices where certain groups of people were excluded from acquiring citizenship Gender , race or class were used as the base for limiting peoples participation in national issues Thesis statement
