America has one of the most dynamic system of politics phenomenon that is not common in many countries of the world especially Africa countries . It is perhaps because of this dynamism that democracy has prevailed in this country . It is no wonder that America has been able to produce the first black president , Barack Obama . The American politics have evolved over time and there are many changes that have taken place The focus of this discussion

is an in-depth analysis on the presidential nomination process . This discussion will also look at how the process has changed over time and how national delegates are now selected as opposed to the past . We will also look at some of the strategies used by presidential candidates to win nominations of their parties and the restrictions that have now been placed on financing of campaigns and just how effective these restrictions are (Gambit , 1973

Presidential nominations of each party are done through voting . Usually voters do not participate directly in the voting of a presidential nominee . Instead they select delegates from various states who then attend a convention for the whole party and it is during this convention that nomination for a presidential candidate is done .
