When a person avoids getting involved in personal issues , its main advantages include Avoiding interpersonal conflicts that could stem from different stands on whether the colonies would remain part of Great Britain or not By not involving personal issues , the people could think for the good of the entire society instead of considering personal biases A person would be able to act towards the good of the many and work along side people whom he

does not like personally
Among its disadvantages are
There would be superficiality in relationships among people
There would be a lack of empathy on what other people may be feeling and experiencing
Grievances may be unheard or uncorrected if people are focused on not getting involved in other people 's affairs
Freneau
Freneau 's poems have made him a Romantic because of how he expressed admiration for the beauty of nature . Romantic literary artists felt revulsion by the rationalization of nature and dreams of a world were nature is left to take its natural course . This is how Freneau sounded in some of his poems that did not talk about politics
Wheatley
The tone of Phillis Wheatley 's "Upon Being Brought from Africa to America " is rebellious . While it acknowledged the good it did to the Africans to be brought into America , the lines of the poem speak of discrimination against the black race .
