History tells that that Americans had been into different battles . The colonial systems , attempts to resolved conflict , exploration and conquest , producing constitution , and fighting for independence are some of the many battles that the nation have been through . After the darkest night , a ray of lights shone ahead for the nation . A window of opportunity has opened , the new government started , it brought so many changes and technological advances swept the country , economic shift from farming and commerce to manufacturing . The changes brought about by the development were so far reaching that

they seemed like a complete all over thrown of the old way life . It involved many gradual changes in the technology , labor and capital . In the area of technology inventors found ways to replace manuals labor into mechanical devices which help speed up the production process

A new way of organizing labor , known as the factory system , factories brought together under one roof . Capital , or money for investments , was required for industry to develop . The sum relations constitutes the economic structure of society . The basis of the productive relations of capitalism is that the working class has to sell its labor power to the capitalist class in to live . This fundamental relationship is static . Society , however , is much more complex . The relationships among the workers , among the capitalists , and between the workers and capitalists are all part of these definite indispensable relations that shape not simply the society but the individual . For example , the special oppression of black people is part of the productive relations , as is the position of the proletarian woman . The struggle for reform is precisely a struggle to reform the productive relations . They adopted the idea of limited liability to lessen the risk of commercial ventures . The Americans slowly adopted corporations for public projects and later on after the civil war become dominant business formed . A number of significant inventions came out improved versions of the steam engine appeared , cotton-cloth production was revolutionized , this multiplied the production into thousands interchangeable parts was introduce , as the concept of interchangeable parts spread to other industries , it provided the basis for further industrial development . Further more the Americans tried to learn the secret of textile industry . The growth of the country enabled the country to free itself from some of its Old World ties . In the textile industry , especially factory owners found of their workers among women and children . Children held special appeal as textile workers because their small size enabled to move nimbly around dangerous machineries Most of the people go for farming due to very low salary offered by the manufacturers . The nation had grown up with an economy . The colonies had exported raw materials . Early 1800s , the country relied increasingly on local industries to supply manufactured goods . Americans took ride in this growing self sufficiency , and the development of domestic industry enhanced their sense of national identity . Industrialization produced divisions as well .
