This project seeks to highlight the social , economic and political events and proposals that presidents in the United States have implemented successfully or failed so that we can learn and understand how to go about them in the future . We shall evaluate the changing culture of the American people from the time of racial segregation to the embracing of the first black president

We also wish to put in focus the federal defense growth and how the American

foreign policy has been used to affect the rest of the world from the war in Vietnam to the war in Iraq . Economic boosters shall also be mentioned . From this we hope to extract goals and objectives of a better modern America

Ronald Reagan 's economic policies (1980s

Ronald Reagan introduced some of the Americans most crucial economic policies changes which were expected to increase economic growth re-establish healthy financial markets , balance the budget and ease inflation as well as the interest rates . They were mainly four in number namely : reduce the growth of government spending , reduce the marginal tax rates on income from both labor and capital , reduce regulation , and reduce inflation by controlling the growth of the money supply . He said that "Only by reducing the growth of government , can we increase the growth of the economy
