Ronald Reagan introduced some of the Americans most crucial economic policies changes which were expected to increase economic growth re-establish healthy financial markets , balance the budget and ease inflation as well as the interest rates . They were mainly four in number namely : reduce the growth of government spending , reduce the marginal tax rates on income from both labor and capital , reduce regulation , and reduce inflation by controlling the growth of the money supply .
