The wise quote goes , You are the creator of your destiny , not the victim ' Yes , this is true from the spiritual and transcendental levels . From the secular and practical angles , one comes across strong mental barriers and hurdles in understanding this point of view Democracy is the rule of the 51 . So , it is futile to expect the politician to tell the people one hundred percent truth . He is always in search of a winning formula , depending upon the prevailing situations and public mood

. His statements and aversions must get him the votes That is the immediate and ultimate purpose of most of the politicians and also the domineering business interests . The former says it through the policy statements the later puts it in practice through imaginative business strategies and advertisement campaigns . Their target is the gullible people , who have no time to think and means to oppose and they live with a sense of resignation . If perfect conditions are not there they carry on with the available conditions if perfect discipline is not there , they carry on with the available discipline ! Even though the public of the United States led by half truths to believe the American Dream is tangible for all citizens , abundant obstacles thwart the subordinate class in the United States from attaining the fable of being self-made ' Concluding that discretion is better part of the valor people surrender . They find it difficult to swim against the powerful current

Take any platform - the words (concepts ) often repeated and lectured upon in USA are race , poverty , class and opportunity . The concept of abundance of opportunities is exploited to such an extent that an average citizen always sees the proverbial carrot dangling in front him He feels he is engulfed with the prospects of so many opportunities , but actually finding it difficult to get one for him . It is just like the prospect of winning a lottery prize . Only a few , the very few , get the real prizes . But thousands get the prize money just enough to buy the next lottery ticket . So , you are psychologically hooked to the prospects of winning a huge lottery prize

To negate a particular idea too often is to propagate it . For example People in the United States don 't like to talk about class . Or so it would seem . We don 't speak about class privileges , or class oppression or the class nature of the society . These terms are not part of our everyday vocabulary , and in most circles they are associated with the language of the rhetorical fringe .
