The special interest about this film is about the price and cost of conformity . The movie is giving the message there is a consequence for either conforming or not conforming to a lifestyle dictated by society While doing the first could produce being dysfunctional in one 's life doing the second by finding "freedom " as found and illustrated in the film isn 't may not necessarily produce the opposite

This film can be compared with the films like by Todd Solondz Happiness and Ang Lee 's The Ice Storm

, since this film may be considered to have wedded together the evoking elements of the two films - the compelling drama and black comedy

The positive aspects of the film include the fact that every character in the film is a memorable one and each is acting in a wonderful manner . Spacey just shows one of his best performances in the film and this is not surprising given his career record . The directing effort is excellent and the cinematography is simply well done as Lester undergoes the transformation of his life including his going back to reality

What could be seen as a weakness in the film is the way the story is structured because of Spacey 's narration tale which in effect kills the beauty of suspense during an opening scene , as the film 's ending gets revealed . This could be understandable if compelling dramatic reason justifies it but there was simply in the present case under review

It may concluded that film me is conveying the message that given the tension and problems that life may give in contemporary American , people should learn to relish every moment of life as well as appreciate all the inner and surprising beauty the world has to offer Another lesson...
