Amadeus

The film Amadeus ' is an account of Salieri , a composer and rival of Mozart , about the life and rivalry of the two composers . The story revolves around Salieri , a devout Catholic who pledges his celibacy to God as a form of sacrifice in to pursue a life of music . The story also showed the rivalry between the two composers , Salieri and Mozart Mozart , seemingly the more gifted of the two , was envied by Salieri , to the point of him scheming on how to kill Mozart and steal one of his works

. The film was shows the perspective of Salieri , as a part of his confession at the start of the film

Amadeus ' starts when Salieri , now old and weak , attempts to end his life while begging to be forgiven of killing Mozart . Because of this , he is put in a lunatic asylum , wherein he was afterwards visited by a priest . He confesses to the young priest , starting his confession by reminiscing the events in his youth . Salieri 's story started way back when he was young , back when his father wanted for him to go into business while he actually wanted to go into music . After his father 's death , he was able to fulfill a career in music , becoming a court composer for the Roman Emperor
