If we are familiar with various articles and studies regarding the airline industry , it becomes clear in our minds that the US and also the international airline industry has been facing groundbreaking changes within their business environments . Discussions within those articles and studies point out many factors as possible causes of this groundbreaking changes , like the terrorist attack in 9-11 , rising

price of oil , changing cultural trend in air travel , development of new business concepts in airline services , etc . All of these causes and several more are playing their roles in shifting the foundations of the airline industry toward a new era

In this new era , there are several apparent changes in the face of the airline industry . The leaders have changed , the underlying values that attract customers have changed and the way people perceived `quality ' in airline services have changed . Low Cost Carriers are considered the new leaders and the `revolutionary agent ' that will determine the future look of US and international airline industry . Observers of the industry have also , for quite some time now , believed that the Low Cost Carriers are themselves , the future of the airline industry
