Discrimination may occur in many circumstances , but it is normally exhibited in one of the following ways (a ) when an employer refuses to hire an applicant because of age preference for the position being applied (for example , an applicant meets all the qualifications but still receives a letter of rejection which may or may not contain that the applicant was refused because of age preference but to which the applicant feels that age has been the reason for the refusal (b when an employer dismisses a worker for no apparent reason but obviously because he is being considered as too old for the job (for example , a 45-year-old worker who receives a termination letter despite consistently positive evaluations (c ) when an employer refuses to provide a worker with training , which usually leads to him being fired for not having enough knowledge and flexibility at work (for example , a worker asks to be sponsored or be allowed to undergo trainings but the company refuses and after some time terminates the employee in the grounds of lack of skills for the job (d ) when the employer refuses to give a deserving worker his promotion on the basis of age (for example a younger candidate for the same promotion who has less qualifications receives the promotion over the older worker (e ) when an employee is given terms and conditions related to age such as a contract forcing him to...
