The human nature in Huckleberry Finn

The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain is a sequel to his Tom Sawyer and so , the character of Huckleberry Finn was first introduced as the friend of Tom hence , Mark Twain ended up in making another novel wherein Huck is the protagonist . He continued in making novels that catches human nature and talks about life 's wonderful journey . This novel is a story about human nature . Among the several examples of human nature

in this novel , superstition , racial attitudes or racism and man 's exploitation of man are only some of those characteristics of the human race that is evident in the whole novel . From these three , there are a lot of situations that was shown to cite the nature of these human attitudes . Hence , the chapters provide a greater and clearer view of depicting human nature as a subject

If there is a person who we can say is a victim of this human nature it could have been Jim , the slave of Miss Watson , a lady who was not evil but not good , who was teaching Huck spelling and reading . Jim believes in superstition just like anybody else and most of the time , he would tell Huck these superstition where in the latter would not give too much attention . Jim 's attitude in relying to superstition brings some ignorance to his identity

It is not that superstitions are for ignorant people only but , using it rather that common sense is quite witless . Most of the time , Huck would throw jokes on him regarding his superstitions but in Jim 's case , his strong belief with superstitions somehow brought him success . He was told that he will be rich because of his hairy chest and in the end of the novel , Tom grant him 40 dollars for all the troubles he caused him The forecast of Jim 's hairy chest has now come to life

The biggest issue among these human natures is the racial attitudes of a person . During those times , the white people would not care about the blacks . These blacks are considered as slaves and they don 't pay too much attention about them . Hence , this part would definitely overlap with man 's exploitation of man since both are s about human beings towards one another . Thus , in this novel , it is shown that the people are ignorant at times and really harmful . Jim as a slave of Miss Watson and now escaped from her unmanly plans of being sold to another person thus , this is now the start of Huck and Jim 's adventures . Together , this white young boy and Jim discovered friendship with each other as they both try to escape from the abuse that follows them

There was an incident in the novel that Aunt Sally was glad that no one was hurt except a black man . This shows that the people in that place pays...
