Adolsecent Drug Addiction Counseling
Running Head : ADOLESCENT DRUG ADDICTION COUNSELING Adolescent Drug Addiction Counseling Name School /University Abstract Many have seen how substance abuse can cripple a young individual 's life and throw his potentials down the drain . But sometimes we cannot blame these victims especially when the parents themselves are struggling alcoholics or addicts who are not capable of proper guidance . Another reason is when there is simply no one available to advise them against the use of drugs and alcohol . But with or without guidance , the choice is always left upon

the adolescent . It is the same choice that he will be using on and on before , during and after the treatments . However , it is the responsibility of adults , mostly parents and counselors , to instill strength to teenage individuals in order for them not to succumb easily to stress and provoke them to use drugs and alcohol . More importantly , there must be continuous support especially in choosing the kind of treatment which is suitable to an adolescent 's personality Otherwise , the whole intervention will be doomed to failure even from the start
