Every individual has to pass through the stage of adolescent before they become adults . It is a complicated period in a teenager 's life as they experience both physical and emotional changes in their bodies This leads to certain behavioral changes in them . Some choose the wrong decisions by bowing to pressure like using drugs , alcohol and having sex . If guided properly , they will make the

right decisions which will enable them to choose the right careers and discover their talents . Lack of proper guidance leads to cases of depression and suicide with the latter being on the increase in the United States . As they experience emotional changes , their self esteem is affected greatly and they require undivided attention to raise their self esteem and avoid rebellious ways which result to wrong decisions . Parents and guardians play an important role in guiding the teenager into becoming a mature adult and shaping their future
