I am an individual interested in joining the graduate school of nursing . I am applying for this position as a student in the school which was advertised as the position seems to fit very well with my education level , experience and career interests . I have an experience in psycho and med-surge nursing and have Bs in biology and BSN

The clinical area am interested in pursuing is a degree in Psychiatric mental health in nursing . This clinical area will prepare me for advanced

practice roles in the care of adults with acute or chronic mental health . In this course integration of neurobiological psychosocial and psychiatric nursing knowledge is carried out and this will help me in delivering care to individuals experiencing schizophrenic sprectrum diss , depression related syndromes and psychogeriatic illness

My professional goals include learning and practicing my career effectively and successfully . Another professional goal is to provide primary health care services to all and especially the mentally dysfunctional . The third goal is to increase people 's knowledge of preventive health care . Another professional goal is to provide early detection of mental diss therefore providing early treatment of acute health problems . To research on problems bringing about mental diss and their solutions . More so prescribe medications to treat biological aspects of mental illness . Pursue a masters program in the same clinical area . To seek and get a job on the basis of my degree of choice . To lead other professional in my clinic or in places I am posted to work

The graduate education will help me achieve my goals through the following means . Since during graduate preparation they teach us on direct clinic practice , consolation , guidance this will give me adequate skills to guide and console the mentally disabled and be consulted in matter of mental problems in my work . With attendance of the graduate degree I can use it to apply for a job in some of my dream hospitals , or even get employed by the school as they are likely to employ an inpatient psychiatric . More so the training got during the study on interpretation and making of research reports will enable me to put down research reports on mental dis and to analysis . Other researches s and proves them right or wrong using positive hypothesis . The teaching of leadership as far as professional leadership is concerner .This will sharpen my skills in achieving leadership over my fellow colleges if appointed a leader in a clinic or hospital , or if I am self-employed . Lastly but not the least is that the degree program will give me an additional post-master PMH certificate which prepare me to safely prescribe medication and also pave way for me to study the masters program faster
