Though there had been an increase of number of contemporary theories that seek to challenge the administrative leadership style , it still remains to be the widely used alternative among principals . However , in these changing times and increasing diversity in the student populace educators must redefine this leadership style to conform and remain competitive in the 21st century . By doing that , principals can better extract possibilities as processes and methods become more efficient In a nutshell , administrative leadership refers to the processes and responsibilities a principal is given which covers various managerial

tasks and goals that seeks to maintain the stability of the educational institution within . Looking at this concept , it can be argued that the main focus of this style is focusing on the structural view and points the inclination towards formal roles and relationships among each other (Bensimon , 1989 . Due to this , the principal is more focused on ensuring that the school is running without problems and appropriate rules were being followed . Moreover , an administrative leader tries to implement these objectives with little interaction with others . This is to prevent others from judging against bias and prejudice
