Introduction

Abortion is a concept that has elicited controversial debate that has threatened to divide society in recent times . The issue has been contentious and has been characterized by legal and political power struggles with no permanent solution anywhere in the near future . The media has focused on the differences that emerge between the two opposing sides rather than the common ground that may exist between them . The pro-lifers are against abortion whereas the pro-choice are for the abortion . In

most instances , the arguments held by each side are irrational with each side taking extreme position on the issue . It is important however to approach the matter with sober minds to arrive at a compromise solution rather than demanding unconditional victories

This shall give a sober approach to the concept of abortion and provide an argument on how the practice of abortion can be permissible in the society
