Introduction

Children 's play has been considered as an important part of life throughout human history . Studies on play in traditional culture and childhood history give a wide range of forms of play which are considered typical of young children , such were ignored or tolerated to varying degrees . According to the history and studies , adults encouraged play and sometimes they used play to distract children for example adults could play with children to distract them from

constant breast feeding demands . Moreover , they could use play to encourage children to get involved in work-related activities such as practice in the use of weapon , hunting , and food preparing among others . However in rare cases , adults discouraged play especially in cases where it interfered with other activities that were considered useful . Play is not trivial it is highly serious and of great significance in children development and in culture production . In different literature and writings , play is considered as a necessity in education , and in acquisition of skills This presents the role of play in children development and in culture production . The author has first discussed various theories of play , then , the role of play in child education and in child development and finally has given an extensive of the influence of play to culture production
