This marble head from the figure of a woman , from ca . 2700 - 2500 BCE form part of the figure of the largest kind of figurative sculpture from the Early Cycladic era which is the Spedos type . What was left of this art work leave traces to conclude that paint was used to render the figure 's facial features . The wide tapered right eye of the figure was probably rendered in azurite pigment . The paint was most likely combined with wax or egg tempera to act as the binding agent . The doorway adorned by two Doric columns is brightly painted as seen beneath the handle of the flask . It is where the newlyweds while spend the rest of their lives together They are welcomed by the groom 's mother , seen holding a torch . The shoulder of the flask depicts a dance scene .
