Implementation plan

The timeline for the curriculum component on Place Value ' is approximately 3-4 weeks . It will start with a video presentation that will give students and overview of the lesson . A set of activities was designed for student to have a more in depth understanding of the concept at the same time appreciate its real life relevance . Also these activities were specially designed following Bloom 's taxonomy of cognitive level (Ornstein , 1990 ) The first phase set of activities focus on knowledge and comprehension such as recording blocks in sheets use of clue cards , among others . Application and analysis is reflected in activities such estimation of dots in triangle at the mid phase of the curriculum schedule . The final phase of activities such as addition problems that require regrouping ' or the use of bills , among others supports the advance learning levels of synthesis and evaluation The essence of the proposed curricular development actually rests on the details of these especially designed activities that comprised the bulk of the curriculum
