The extension of diversity among the African- American can be traced from the different as well as difficult economic , social and cultural history which has haunted people of African decent in America . Social as well as economic diversity have trickle down to today since the years of slavery and continues to interfere with development of Africa-America community resulting to describing them to diverse class and economic status . Black inequality no longer results from powerful and interlocking forms of public and private discrimination and oppression . Rather , it is the product of processes beginning with childhood that sort African Americans into more or less favored statuses , differentiating them by class and gender (Katz , Stern 2008 para 2 . Athough we cannot say there is no absolute dismiss existence of discrimination toward African-American in 21st century , inequality and the poverty that go along with it government requires policies that identify areas of intercession and reassert a vigorous role in support of economic security and upward mobility

Changing the state of the American black to a par level with the fellow blacks as well as white , it is mandate of leaders to come up with leadership approaches which look forward to integrate everyone from the ground . Leadership with is capability of taking diversity in Africa-America to reality of equality is important . Democratic or participative leadership couple by bottom up approach may help to solve this problem as it will integrate every one in the society in coming up with solution as opposed to Autocratic leadership which dictate what is to be done Williger , 2008 Reference
