People have different approaches in dealing with life , in general . Some people would prefer to wallow in their predicament , rather than think of solutions . Others , on the other hand , become more challenged as they face the difficulties that life has to offer . SUMMARY

The movie , Patch Adams , was a story accounted for the life of Dr . Hunter Adams , who deviated from the original approach in medicine . After being sent to a mental institution , he realized how much help he could give others by becoming a medical doctor . He then decides to enroll at the Virginia Medical Center , becoming the oldest freshman . While in school he started to have second thoughts with the medical approach of the institution . Adams believed that the best way to cure patients is to make them laugh . Eventually , he was dismissed from the school

Adams began doing researches , and started to build a clinic that would promote an interaction between the doctor and the patients .
